East Palo Alto Police Officers responded to a Shotspotter activation at 10:05 p.m. on August 31, and found an 18-year old male shooting victim in front of 2535 Farrington Street. The teen, who is a resident of Menlo Park, told the officers that there was a second shooting victim inside the house.
Following up on the information that they had been given, the officers entered the house and located a 19-year old East Palo Alto resident who had also been shot.
The police reported that both teenagers were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A preliminary investigation showed that two shooters might have fired numerous rounds into the house before running from the scene. Witnesses said that the two suspects, who have not been apprehended or identified, were picked up by a dark colored sedan.
