A 22-year-old East Palo Alto man was shot in the 100 block of Azalia Drive in an area of East Palo Alto known as the Gardens.

According to the East Palo Alto Police, officers were drawn to the shooting location Saturday morning by a Shot spotter activation. When they arrived in the vicinity of the shooting, officers found the shooting victim in the driveway of a house located at 124 Azalia Drive.

The victim was shot numerous times in his torso and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Amazingly, the police report that the victim's injuries were not life threatening.

At this time, the police say that there are no suspects in custody and the motive for the shooting is unknown.
