Two East Palo Alto men were shot Sunday night in a parking lot on East
Bayshore Road. Although the victims’ names have not been released, the police
identified them as Hispanic males, 18 and 19 years old.

The 19 year old suffered a fatal gunshot wound and died on the scene. The 18 year old was sent to Stanford Hospital to be treated for non-life -threatening wounds.

The shooting on July 24 is the fourth shooting homicide in East Palo Alto in the past two weeks and the sixth of the year. There were four homicides at this time last year.

The East Palo Alto Police Department is actively investigating the case, but both the shooter and the motive are unknown.
