A 26 year old East Palo Alto man was shot and killed on Camellia Ct in the second shooting in East Palo Alto in as many days.

According to the East Palo Alto Police, officers found the victim face down in a driveway on Camellia Ct shortly after 10 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment but died of his wounds approximately four hours later.

The initial investigation showed that the victim was approached by a suspect in front of a house on Camellia Ct. Officers said that the two men might have had a brief conversation before the shooter opened fire, hitting the victim multiple times in the torso. The shooter then fled the scene on foot.

At this time, both the shooter and the motive for the shooting are unknown. This is the third shooting homicide in East Palo Alto in the past two weeks.

The police are now asking that anyone who may have information regarding the shooting contact the East Palo Alto Police Department in one of the following ways:

Send an anonymous email to epa@tipnow.com

Send an anonymous text message to 650-409-6792
