The East Palo Alto Police Department is planning to distribute toys to needy families and their children on Saturday, December 24. But police officials say that the department's toy chest is critically deficient. So, the department is urgently appealing to the public for toy donations.

All who can donate are being asked to contribute new or unwrapped toys or to make a monetary donation by December 23.

All donations can be dropped off at the East Palo Alto Police headquarters, which is located at 141 Demeter Street in East Palo Alto. Checks can be made to "The East Palo Alto PD POA."

Those seeking more information about the toy donation request can contact Vickie Porter at (650)853-3163.
